Indoor Practice Facility

Set for use in the Fall of 2015, the Indoor Practice Facility is a state of the art $21 million practice facility that will be used by a variety of Hokie Athletic programs including football, soccer, lacrosse, softball, and baseball. One of the premier facilities of its kind in the country, the Indoor Practice Facility will allow teams to practice no matter what the time of day or weather elements provide.

PlaySight Tennis Project

This revolutionary tennis equipment changes the way our tennis student-athletes train and improve their games. Virginia Tech is the only school in the country to have this technology on 6 indoor tennis courts, and the data it provides will help our teams compete at the highest level of intercollegiate athletics.

PlaySight includes the ability to:

  • Challenge your opponent to automatic line calling
  • Get your serve speed and MPH
  • Get pro level states after every match and training
  • Track,share,and compare your stats over multiple sessions to track improvement
  • Ability to stream matches to be viewed anywhere in the world

Hahn Hurst Basketball Practice Facility

Opened in 2009, the $21 million indoor basketball practice facility took its place among the nation’s elite basketball improvement centers. The 49,000 square-foot facility houses both men’s and women’s basketball coach’s offices, locker rooms, weight room, film areas, training room, and memorabilia area. The facility is conveniently located right next to Cassell Coliseum giving our basketball programs easy access to their home court.
