Leadership Gift Officer for Intercollegiate Athletics

Scott is the Leadership Gift Officer for Intercollegiate Athletics. His responsibilities include identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding annual gift prospects and donors to the Virginia Tech Athletic Fund. He is the coordinator for the Student Hokie Club, and is also in charge of the Student Intern Program. Scott joined the staff in August 2014 after working in Annual Giving for academics at Virginia Tech the past year. He graduated from Virginia Tech in 2004 with a degree in Communications and a minor in History. He also received his MBA with a concentration in Sports Management from Tiffin University (Ohio) in 2013. His background also includes college football coaching at Glenville State and Jacksonville University. He worked for the Walt Disney Company in Orlando, and he was a High School Outreach Coordinator for Fortis College in Jacksonville, Florida. While at Virginia Tech, Scott was a walk-on for the football team playing quarterback, wide receiver, defensive back and special teams. He and his wife Courtney live in Christiansburg.

Scott serves as a liaison for the areas of: Pulaski County, Giles County, Radford, Bluefield/Tazewell and West Virginia.
