Associate Athletics Director for Major Gifts

David is the Associate Athletics Director for Major Gifts. His responsibilities include identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major gift prospects and donors to the Hokie Club. David began his career in 1988 with the former Virginia Tech Student Aid Association, serving as Assistant Director of Field Services and later as Athletic Development Manager. From 1996-1999 David served as Director of Development for Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business where he led a successful $30 million campaign for the college during the university's last comprehensive campaign. In the summer of 1999, he moved back to the Virginia Tech Athletic Fund in his current role. David is a 1988 graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in Finance. He was a football letterman from 1985-1987 and was the starting wingback on the 1986 Peach Bowl Championship team. A native of Emporia, Virginia, David lives in Blacksburg with his wife, Lynn, and two daughters, Kat and Jane.David serves as a liaison for the Richmond Hokie Club.
