Football Recruit Night Events

Coach Jim Cavanaugh will be traveling to many area Hokie Clubs in the month of February to present the 2010 Virginia Tech Football Recruit video and give us the latest news for the Virginia Tech football program. Events that are scheduled are as follows:

  • February 8 - Richmond Hokie Club
  • February 9 - Peninsula Hokie Club (lunch) and Tidewater Hokie Club (dinner)
  • February 10 - Battlefield Hokie Club (lunch event) and Loudoun County Hokie Club (dinner event)
  • February 11 - NOVA Hokie Club
  • February 15 - Roanoke Valley Hokie Club
  • February 18 - Charlottesville Hokie Club
  • February 23 - Charlotte Hokie Club
  • February 24 - Lynchburg Hokie Club

25th Annual Hokie Celebration

The annual Hokie Celebration event is scheduled for Saturday, February 27, in the Bowman Room (Cassell Coliseum). A buffet will provided by Custom Catering and will run from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. when the men will tip-off vs. Maryland. Snacks, etc. will be offered at half-time. After the game, join the men's basketball team for more celebrating with sandwich trays, wings, ribs, pizza, dessert and much more. Hokies Respect Sportsmanship Campaign

Hokies Respect is a sportsmanship awareness program designed to promote first-class fan conduct at Virginia Tech sporting events. At Virginia Tech, we treasure and protect college game day.

We wish to remind and empower Hokie Fans to be caretakers of college game day in Lane Stadium and Cassell Coliseum. It is incumbent on all of us to join together for Hokies Respect. Please join us in our efforts to maintain Virginia Tech’s national reputation as a tenacious opponent, a tough place to play and always a first-class host.
